Hosai Todd Hesham, MD

Hosai is a board-certified Otolaryngologist who has been in practice for more than a decade.  She is a graduate of Albany Medical College and finished her ENT training at Georgetown University.  After finishing her residency, she decided to stay in then Washington DC region.  She has worked at the DC Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where she served as ENT Section Chief.  For the last five years, she has been in private practice focusing on surgical treatment of thyroid disease, salivary gland, and office-based sinus procedures.  Her office is located at 2021 K Street, Suite 420, Washington DC 20006.  She is a faculty member at George Washington Hospital.

Hosai has been around medicine all her life.  Her parents met as medical students in Kabul, Afghanistan.  She grew up accompanying her father or mother to the hospitals making rounds or would be at the daycare provided by the obstetrics clinic where her mother worked.  Her family left Afghanistan in the mid 1980’s for Pakistan, where her parents worked a non-profit hospital that served other Afghan refugees.  Her mother would even see patients at their home, when the women were not allowed by their family to go to the hospital.  After arriving in the US at the age of 12, Hosai watched her parents take on the difficult task of re-entering medical training in America.  It is no wonder why she went into the field of medicine with her unique perspective.

Hosai is happily married to an estate planning attorney.  She loves spending time with her husband and children, eating at various restaurants, and finding time to travel.  She admits being obsessed with her Peloton bike, which provides her some great workouts to balance her love for foods.
