Cynthia King, M.D., MPH 

Cynthia was born and raised in Maryland. She went to St. Mary’s College of Maryland, which she loved, where she earned a degree in Biology. However, after years of explaining that St. Mary’s College isn’t Catholic, or all girls, she wanted a medical school she would never have to explain. So she went to Harvard. When she became tired of the Boston winters, she convinced her husband, a native Bostonian, to move to Chapel Hills, NC, for residency. Cynthia completed her residency in OB/Gyn and received a Masters in Public Health at University of North Carolina. Coming full circle, Cynthia moved back to Maryland where she now lives with her husband, an anesthesiologist, and two amazing kids (plus a dog, two guinea pigs, and a fish). She is an avid baker, which she tries to balance with tennis and any fitness class she can fit into her busy schedule! She works as an OB/Gyn doctor with a special interest in family planning.
