Dr. Karen Lewis grew up in Ft. Worth, Texas, and has her undergraduate degree from Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. She graduated from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston in 1998 and completed her pediatric residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Her husband’s job took them to Amsterdam, the Netherlands, where she learned to speak Dutch and completed a year of residency to be a certified Dutch pediatrician. After returning to the US, she worked in outpatient pediatrics for 4 years in Dallas, TX. She then relocated to Maryland with her husband and two daughters and joined her current pediatric practice. Dr. Lewis enjoys exploring the DC area by metro, bike, and kayak with her family, as well as yoga and running.
