Neural basis of behavioral changes
Dr. Monique Ernst is a child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist. She completed medical school at the Pitie Salpetriere University in Paris, France, and the Ph.D. program of Neurophysiology; Nervous System and Behavior of the Jussieu University of Paris. She did residencies in adult psychiatry at Beth Israel Medical Center and in Child Psychiatry at Bellevue Hospital & New York Medical Center in New York. She is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Psychiatry and by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Monique focuses mainly on neuroscience research. She conducts neuroimaging studies to try to better understand both the neural basis of the behavioral changes during adolescence and the vulnerabilities and mechanisms underlying psychopathology such as anxiety and depression. Monique also holds a small private practice in psychiatry, particularly child and adolescent, but also adult, psychiatry, which is one of the most rewarding and important parts of her work.
Many hobbies, but so little time to play. She was invited by Marsha Seidelman to join the LadyDoc bootcamp several months ago. Thank you Marsha! Such a wonderful and caring group of women who are so much into helping others, and themselves! Monique is looking forward to share some of the things she learned with the LadyDocsCornerCafe.
