Dr. Nadia Hashimi spent her formative years in New York and New Jersey. She attended Brandeis University and graduated cum laude with a dual degree in Biology and Middle Eastern Studies. She attended medical school at SUNY Brooklyn and because of a love for the resiliency and spirit of children, made the easy decision to become a pediatrician. She completed her pediatric residency at NYU and Bellevue Hospitals in New York City.
Nadia moved to Maryland in 2008 and lives here with her husband, her two imaginative and energetic children and an African Gray parrot named Nickel. She is proud to work in the Emergency Department at Children’s National Medical Center providing acute care for children and also works as a physician consultant. She spends her free time with her growing family and enjoys music, exercise and reading. She is a budding novelist and has her debut fictional novel set to be published in May 2014 by William Morrow/Harper Collins.
Nadia is happy to be a newer member to the Lady Docs. She’s proud to be part of such an accomplished group and admires everyone’s commitment to health and fitness!
