Rachel L. Schreiber, M.D., FAAAAI is a Diplomate of the American Board of Allergy/Immunology. Dr. Schreiber graduated Phi Beta Kappa, Cum Laude, with a B.A. in English from the University of Maryland’s General Honors Program. After completing a research fellowship through an Intramural Research Training Award at the National Institutes of Health she went on to graduate with her M.D. from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She completed her Internal Medicine internship and residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), and her Allergy/Immunology fellowship at UPMC/Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
After practicing Allergy/Immunology in Pittsburgh, Dr. Schreiber moved back to her native Maryland in 2005. She has been a practicing allergist in Rockville and Germantown since 2005, and in June 2015 she opened Schreiber Allergy (www.schreiberallergy.com) in Rockville, MD.
Dr. Schreiber has published numerous articles in peer reviewed scientific journals, and is co-author of “Allergic Rhinitis” in Pediatric Otolaryngology. She is a Washingtonian Magazine “Top Doctor” and has been named one of “America’s Top Physicians” by the Consumers’ Research Council of America. Dr. Schreiber has also been awarded the “SuperDoctors” and “America’s Top Doctors” distinctions. She is a member of numerous local and national medical and professional societies, and served as a Board Member for the Pennsylvania Allergy and Asthma Association. She has mentored students in the Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership class at George Washington University School of Business.
Dr. Schreiber has worked in multiple media outlets, including the web, print publications, radio, and local and national television to educate the public on medical issues. In 2009, she traveled to Hollywood to guest co-host the nationally syndicated show “The Doctors.”
In 2013 Dr. Schreiber had the pleasure of serving as the Honorary Medical Chair of the Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE) Walk in Rockville, MD. Dr. Schreiber lives in Rockville with her husband, two sons, and their dog Leo. When she is not in the office she may be found on a Montgomery County Field being a Soccer Mom.
