Emily Cook, PhD, is a licensed clinical marriage and family therapist in Maryland. She received her B.S. in Psychology from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. She then earned her M.S. in Couple and Family Therapy from the University of Maryland, College Park, followed by her Ph.D. in Family Science from the same department.
She is a Clinical Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and the President of the Association’s Middle Atlantic Division (covering Maryland, Delaware, and the District of Columbia). She holds Certificates in Discernment Counseling for couples on the brink of divorce and in the Prepare/Enrich relationship skills program for engaged and married couples. Her thriving group psychotherapy practice, Emily Cook Therapy, is located in Bethesda, MD and specializes in helping individuals, couples, and families repair and enrich their relationships.
