Dr. Robyn Pashby is a licensed clinical health psychologist, an author, speaker, coach and entrepreneur. She is the founder of DC Health Psychology, which provides clinical services, community and professional training and other wellness services. She is the co-creator of the popular online weight management coaching program called “Health Gains” and she is a passionate advocate for non-judgmental and unbiased mental and physical health care. Dr. Pashby’s clinical work focuses on the psychological and behavioral treatment of chronic health conditions, particularly related to weight and eating behavior. She has authored or co-authored numerous publications including peer-reviewed scientific articles, as well as several book chapters and blog posts. She has extensive clinical training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Interpersonal Psychotherapy, and has obtained certification in Integrative Nutrition for Mental Health Disorders. She is currently serving as the Vice President of Professional Affairs for the DC Psychological Association Board.
Prior to founding DC Health Psychology, Dr. Pashby served as Assistant Director and lead clinician at the National Center for Weight and Wellness in Washington DC. She has worked with many other local businesses and organizations including the George Washington University Weight Management Program, the GWU Medical School, Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Crunch Fitness, NovaCare Rehabilitation, Point Performance, The Transition Network, Patient Centered Weight Management, and more. Her work has been featured by WTOP radio, the Obesity Action Coalition’s Obesity Social Media account, DC Psychological Association publications, the OACs Your Weight Matters Magazine, The Gastric Guru, and the Everyday Wellness.
Dr. Pashby lives in Washington DC and enjoys living an active lifestyle with her husband and daughter. DC Health Psychology has offices in Bethesda, Maryland, Washington DC and Richmond, VA.
