Please check out our articles that were posted during our recent technical difficulties. There’s Thu’s beautiful tribute to her mom on what would have been her 80th birthday. She reflected on the memories of cooking with her mother, and how wonderful it is to have her 90 year-old father still writing sentimental poems paired with music and peaceful scenery. This piece actually reminds me of the poignant essays Thu starting writing for our weekly bootcamp announcements – the ones that made everyone encourage Thu to start a blog!
Find some new recipes, including a delicious spinach and strawberry salad with a sweet poppy and sesame dressing, courtesy of boot camper Pam; and my favorite guacamole recipe, which you can adjust to your own taste.
Also be sure to check out our newest author, Jody Miller, writing about muscular flexibility. She can motivate you to exercise and help you recognize missing pieces in your workouts. More core and upper body exercises are coming soon from Troy, hopefully with video, as some of you have requested. I’ll be posting my adventures with Thu at a vegan brunch at the Corcoran by cookbook authors Todd Gray, chef of Equinox restaurant in DC and Joe Yonan, food writer for The Washington Post, specializing in vegetarian cooking for one.
